Introduction to B&W Darkroom Printing – 6 Hours

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your darkroom print but weren’t sure where to start? It can be a very daunting process, and this workshop is aimed at photographers of all skill levels who want to understand what goes into making a handprint and gain the confidence to do it yourself.

Limited to Three People

Time: 9 am – 2 pm Saturday. The specific date depends on the option selected below

  • The theory behind darkroom printing
  • The difference between papers
  • Darkroom Chemistry
  • Learning how to use the enlargers and timers
  • Making a contact sheet
  • Making test strips to determine exposure
  • Making a final 8 x 10 print
  • Using Split Grade Filtering to control contrast

  • 1+ Roll of already processed B&W 35mm or 120 Film
