Ilford Hypam Fixer is a non-hardening rapid fixer supplied as a liquid concentrate that is diluted with water for use. Hypam is easy and convenient to use. Without the addition of a hardener, it is suitable for all black and white film and paper, manual and machine processing applications in the temperature range of 18C
The fixing agent in HYPAM is ammonium thiosulphate; it contains no sodium thiosulphate (hypo). At a 1:4 dilution, RC papers should be fixed for 1-2 minutes. Fiber-based prints should be fixed for 1-2 minutes.
