Pro Scanning

When nothing less than maximum detail will do.

Drum Scanning (Howtek 7500)

We use the Howtek 7500 drum scanner in combination with AZTEK DPL 8.1 Pro software to extract the maximum detail from your film. This true photomultiplier tube (PMT) drum scanner is capable of producing genuine 48-bit files from negative and transparencies up to 11″ x 14”.

With exceptional dynamic range, tonal separation and resolving power, the Howtek captures information far beyond standard scanning methods. Extremely large files, running into several gigabytes can be produced without interpolation or resampling, preserving every nuance of the original.

Virtual Drum Scanning (Imacon Flextight 848)

Our Imacon Flextight 848 produces exceptionally high resolution scans from 35mm through to 4×5”. Using Hasselblad’s virtual drum technology, film is tensioned in a precision curved holder to maximise sharpness and maintain consistent focus across the frame, without the need for wet mounting.

The Imacon generates true 16-bit files with remarkable detail, tonal depth and dynamic range. It is a highly regarded tool for photographers seeking meticulous, exhibition ready scans with extraordinary clarity.

Fine Art Scanning

We create high resolution digital files from original artworks and hard copy materials including prints, paintings, drawings, posters and photographs. Our system allows us to capture large format originals with exceptional detail and accuracy.

Our digital technicians carefully size, colour match and calibrate each file to ensure it faithfully represents the original work. This service is also ideal for archiving and restoring family photographs, maps and historically significant pieces.

Whether preserving, reproducing or preparing artwork for print, we approach each scan with precision and care.

Retouching

Our retouching and restoration service ranges from subtle refinements to complete image reconstruction. Send us your digital file with a brief outline of the changes required, and we’ll provide a quote based on the scope of work.

All retouching is completed from a high-resolution digital file. If you have negatives or original photographs, we can scan them first before any restoration begins.

We regularly restore and enhance photographs and negatives, including:
