We are excited to announce that we are now offering large format processing and scanning in house at The Black and White Box! Below are all of the details and pricing. Not only are we set to provide extremely high quality scans that should satisfy photographers working at any skill level, but we can do so at an good price which we hope that this enables photographers to shoot more sheet film
Our recently acquired Jobo CPP2 came straight from the Minnesota showroom refurbished. We have tested thoroughly and are happy with the high standard of results we have gotten. All chemistry will be control stripped at the beginning on a batch and we use freshly mixed one shot chemistry for all three processes
We scan using modified a reproduction scanning setup that uses high resolution optics and a pixel shifting sensor. This allows us to get a true RGB file with no degradation from a bayer sensor. Resulting in a very low noise floor and high resolution. The scans even come with full edge registration showing the notch code and film label
Two simple Scanning resolutions: We identified one of the main issues with modern large format shooting is photographers usually only have the option to drum scan at labs. Which is cost prohibitive and there is no easy way to proof scans
