Contact Sheet Service

This new service is for people who like the aesthetic of contact sheets or want the full borders on their images. The beauty is that these files have an insane amount of information and detail so you can crop in for sharing specific frames. To order, just let the staff know when you drop off or make sure to specify on the order form if you use drop-off points or mailing in. We can also do contact sheets from rolls stored in house!

Important Tip: Like a traditional contact sheet, we have to pick a single exposure for the whole sheet, meaning it works best on rolls with consistent scenarios and exposure.

How We Process

All colour film is processed in our state of the art Noritsu machine. Each morning when we fire it up, we run through a control strip and plot our findings on a graph. This ensures you that our chemicals are at their optimum to process your film perfectly!

All traditional black and white film is processed through a rotary developer with our chemistry of choice, Kodak XTOL, which we have found to provide the most consistent results with our process. All developer is one shot, which means each roll uses fresh chemistry, ensuring your film will come out at it’s best every time.

We process all of the E-6 in our trusty Jobo using the Bellini 6 Bath E-6 chemistry. This chemistry is the exact same formulas as the iconic Kodak 6 Bath. We have dialled in the times for the Jobo and use the Fuji E-6 Control Strips to monitor the chemistry. Processing is done once a week currently on Wednesday mornings.

Large Format

We process all sheet film in the Jobo CPP-2 as well using the expert range of drums. All sheet film processing is done using one shot, meaning it is freshly mixed then discarded to ensure perfect development each time. We process large format once to twice a week, depending on volumes so get in touch for turnaround times.

How We Scan

Fuji Frontier SP-3000

The majority of our scans are produced on the SP-3000, a state of the art film scanner well known for rendering beautiful tones, dynamic range, and equipped with in-built infrared dust removal technology. This scanner excels at C-41 Colour Negative scans so all of these go through the Frontier.

Noritsu HS-1800

The Noritsu HS-1800 is a true workhorse scanning much faster than the Frontier due to running on a newer and faster operating system. It has a higher D-MAX than the Frontier and renders B&W tones better. Because of this, we have decided to put all E-6/B&W through the Noritsu.

How It Works:
